Met Up with Wanling Again

[Tuesday, 1 February, 2011]

I spent hours helping Joanna with her Java project. Then, I continued with SEO until 6am.

My mum was playing with Lucky and she was practically screaming out the commands at 9am to wake me up. Wanling dropped me an SMS to postpone our outing. I woke up at 2pm eventually.

When Joanna tried to ask me for help again, I rejected her because I could not spend any more time to help her in her school assignment instead of doing my own work. My work was definitely more crucial and if I were to duplicate myself ten times, I would not be able to complete my work any time soon. I continued with SEO for the tuition agency until Wanling suddenly messaged me that she was available near 5pm.

I met up with her at The Central. She looked very tired. We went to one of the Japanese restaurants but I did not take any food since I took my lunch very late. After that, we strolled over to Liang Court and walked around. The shop for ladies, La Lu, impressed me with the interior European design. Then, we proceeded to shop at the Japanese supermarket before going back to The Central.

I wanted to send Wanling home by bus but I did not bring my laptop along and I knew I would waste a lot of time on the way back. I took bus 145 to Amara hotel and joined my family at Burger King. However, my stomach was still bloated and I did not order anything.

Back at home, I continued with my SEO work. I filled my stomach with some sushi my younger brother had purchased earlier on.

Shopping at Vivocity

[Sunday, 21 November, 2010]

I spent the morning working on my tuition agency website and went to sleep at 8am.

I woke up at 4pm eventually. My elder brother, his girlfriend, my mum and I went to Vivocity together at 7pm. Since I took my first meal late, I did not eat anything at the Kopi Tiam food court. We shared a bowl of dessert. We went to the Giants before Daiso and finally to the pet shop. Eventually we bought sushi at the Giants before going home. I was quite turned off for some of the salmon had already turned bad and I knew the sushi’s quality was not that good anymore.

After a quick shopping at the NTUC, we started eating sushi at home.

Work and Slept on a Sunday

[Sunday, 14 November, 2010]
My Sundays usually differed from others’ for I spent it on my website and blog, and finally slept at 9am. I was trying to rush my work after the evil reservist took away nine of my working days.
I had nine hours of sleep, which was never enough to pay back the sleep debt. My dinner was a lunchbox my mum bought from the usual coffee shop.
I had my final touch on the tutor sign up page of Smart Tuition Singapore before pushing some important changes to live finally.
My elder brother bought sushi from Giants at Vivocity and thus my night was filled with sweetness, which I shared with my younger brother.

Reservist Day One

[Monday, 1 November, 2010]

I was working on the tuition website before I started updating outdated blog entries. I went to sleep after 4am but could not doze off.

Before I made my way out of my house, I realised I did not fold my Smart Four. Terry had reached Eunos before I boarded the train. I was late for around fifteen minutes. We were very early in the end and took the squadron bus in after registering with Mingkai.

We chatted inside the AV room until around 9am when the introduction started. Then, we got to know of the new stupid rules. The ninja van came at around 10am, which was near lunch. I bought noodle and it tasted quite bad. We could hardly finish half of our lunchbox.

We took the squadron bus out in the end of the day together with Victor. Then, Terry and I took bus 94 back to Eunos before transiting to the train.

Lucky was my main concern of the day and it was good to see him back at home. I had sushi as supper. My brothers and I went down to walk Lucky before going home to catch the show.

The Home Visiting

[Saturday, 30 October, 2010]
I started the morning trying out a marketing strategy with my younger brother. Next, I continued working on the Singapore Calendar Planner 2011 for Smart Tuition Singapore. After it was done, I tried to standardise the other download pages’ format.
My elder brother left Singapore for Bali in the morning and I went to sleep at 8am.
I woke up at 4pm and my appetite was bad. My younger brother, mum and I went for Sakae Sushi at Icon for dinner.
After eating, we passed by the watch shop and had a long chat with the bosses. Then, we brought them home to look at the renovation of my house so that they could prepare for theirs and see what they could get for the workers to fix up on the last few days of the renovation.
As expected, Lucky messed up the kitchen with his pee and poo. I cleared the kitchen, mopped the floor and dried it before letting the visitors in. It was probably the only time my house was said to be tidy. After the house viewing over my place, we went over the opposite flat at their house as my mum wanted to give them opinions in clearing up the place..

Thrown $20 Ez-link Card to Sleep in Lecture

For the second consecutive Saturday, I went down to SIM for lecture. Although it was the last day of the intensive lecture for this semester, things did not spell good.

The lecturer executed his power to make everyone feel sleepy again and I was so wasted throughout. During lunchtime, Yuanle and I dined at the canteen together with his colleague. Both of us had fish and chips. I saw Lynn and Zijian who were nearby. Since I was very tired, I did not go over to address them but it turned out to be a wrong decision since Lynn told me her hottest classmate was actually presented.

I was expecting the lecture to end very early but somehow it was dragged until the very last half an hour. I overheard from some others that they were clueless as well. Yuanle did doze off many times as well but he was flooding the lecturer with questions after the lecture, which scared me off.

I was very frustrated to wait for around twenty minutes for bus 75 to arrive. The bus-stop began empty to crowded and soon, quiet down again. The worst thing happened when I realise my EZ-link card was not in my wallet. I dropped a two-dollar note instead and it began my depressive day. It was the first time I made such mistake of losing important card.

I was sitting at the farthest back of the bus and a young sweet girl boarded the bus with her mum. The back number sign of the bus was lying on the seat and the girl put it at the back. As the bus moved, the sign fell and hit her head. I took the board from her and put it besides me.

Since I got home late, my plan to take a quick nap failed. After clearing emails, I went off to Vivocity to meet up with Irwin. I was right on time but Tingfeng and him were earlier, queuing at Sushi Teh. It was the first time I went inside and it was quite nicely decorated. Irwin’s friend, Eugene, came and joined us, and we shared some dishes together. Irwin footed the bill of around $95.

After Tingfeng left, we went to collect the online booking tickets and it was billed under Irwin’s credit card. I met Albert who was camping there with his friends probably after their beach volleyball game.

The long awaited movie, Chi Bi 2, was quite impressively filmed but the fake storyline turned Irwin off. At least, I was able to concentrate fully. After the movie, three of us went off in different directions. We were supposed to go to Dragonfly with Kaiye who flew us aeroplane. Anyway, I did not have the chance to hear from Irwin about his recent story.

After reaching home, I was busy with filing of police report online, and spending large amount of time at the SAF, Ez-link and SIM websites.

Spambot is Back from USA

Spambot aka Yaozhong was back to Singapore finally for his three months vacation. Our ex Ngee Ann Polytechnic gang, Cher Fong, Benson, Wen Chang and both of us met up on Wednesday for dinner.

Since I left my work place later than planned time, and partly due to my slackness, I was very late for the meet-up. It was not that bad at first until I boarded bus 75 and there was massive jam at Shenton Way. Then, I realised the bus did not stop near Esplanade, and instead, I had to further spend time crossing Marina Square. I met my secretary, Lynn, on the way but she was going for karaoke session and thus could not join us.

Back to the Sushi restaurant (Ichiban Boshi) for the third time, my first instinct was to find the waitress who looked like Felicia Chin. She was not as resembling this time but was still quite stylish, except when she opened her mouth…

There was no change in everyone except for Cher Fong who kept his hair very long. I missed the previous class gathering and thus, the rest of them were not surprised by his hairstyle.

Cher Fong’s bike. Cool?

I had chicken katsu and a bowl of rice, which was the simplest. We chatted for quite long and by the time we were about to leave, I felt uncomfortable with my throat. It was near ten o’clock and we followed Cher Fong to the car park where he parked his bike before going to the MRT station.

Completion of the Fujitsu Notebook Reformatting

[Sunday, 11 February, 2007]

So much for handling the Fujitsu notebook, I slept at quite a late hour again. I woke up before 10am to start looking at the newspapers. I did some circling and marking out of some potential flats and time passed fast.

It was my first time calling and making enquiries about flats but luck was not with me. The flats were either sold out, not eligibility to Chinese, or not suitable for PR (Permanent resident) due to future upgrade.

I was about to send Kaven a message, typing halfway, when he called me. He invited me to view house with another agent at Bukit Batok and I told him embarrassingly that I could not find any flat for viewing later.

After that, I started into problem solving the notebook again. It was frustrating for everything was working fine except that no sound was coming out.

I waited quite long for him to arrive and he drove me over. That agent was quite friendly and the two flats were quite nice. The locations were very good for they were near the MRT.

I almost wanted to burst out laughing when we got into Kaven’s car to go over the opposite building across the street. Both Kaven and I sat in front and did not put on the seat belts. Suddenly I heard a “click” sound behind and I turned back to see the agent putting it on.

I could not stand formality. That agent was doing it not because he was doubting Kaven’s driving skill but to give good impression that he did not want Kaven to be booked by any traffic police. I could not imagine in future I had to do that as well when I was attending to other clients.

Afterwards, we went to West Mall and I went to the library to look for Edgar who helped me to solve the mystery of no sound output from the Fujitsu laptop. It was merely due to a hardware configuration that I had to adjust the sound using the “function” key with two buttons on the top, and the adjusting of volume was not shown on display somehow. Basically, there were two controls of the sound and both had to be adjusted before any sound can be produced. One interesting fact that Edgar taught me was that sometimes when Fujitsu’s notebook refuses to produce any sound, plug in a headphone and remove it.

I met up with Kaven again after he fetched money from the ATM machine. Then, we went to Sakae Sushi for dinner. He taught me a lot about the food. When he wanted to pass me the fifty bucks for reformatting the notebook for him, I refused to accept it for I was not used to charge friends for that.

He sent me to Clementi and after he left, I noticed about the tangling wire from my bag and realised I forgot to put the power cable back into the notebook’s casing. Then, he made a detour back.

Suimin was supposed to call me back at night but she cheated on my feeling!
