MSN Bug and Email Testing

[Saturday, 10 July, 2010]

I finally played my childhood game – Romance of the Three Kingdoms 3 – again. I was quite lazy though and delegated all my provinces to my officers so that they could kiss my neighbours by their own. Somehow, the AI could not take down the enemies swiftly like me. It was a long game and I certainly had selected the wrong boring era to start off.

My brother and his girlfriend left for Malacca in the morning and I went to bed near 8am.

In the afternoon, I spent lots of time trying out emails. I created an email using my domain name and wondered if I should start changing my email for MSN since the current one was giving problems. MSN was having this big bug that some of my friends started disappearing from my list of people who had added me. I was certain they did not delete me because some of them did message me on their own. The situation was worsening and I wondered if I should start afresh with another account.

I configured Gmail to access the new email through my server and it worked. However, my hands were itchy and I tried to use POP to transfer emails from my formal email address and it refused to stop importing the emails dated back at year 2008. I was not sure if the emails were still inside that account and if there was any duplication in my main account. The terror took quite long to end, and before that, I had logged out from my Gmail.

My neighbour came to visit his mum and he dropped by my house. He suggested loaning my yellow bird over for a week because he had two male birds at home and would like to see if they could mate. Later on, I spent some time over his mum’s house to play with the bird.

Into late night saw my excitement chatting in the MSN.

Project BOE (Birds on Estacy) – Green Parrot Escaped

[Friday, 21 May, 2010]

Before my mum went to sleep, she placed her passport on the table and asked me to help her fill up the declaration card for visiting Malaysia.

My butts started aching after the previous night’s gym. I continued with my work after clearing up my email. My mum returned in the afternoon and told me to help her friend to fill up the declaration card as well.

While continuing with my work alone in the house, I turned to the kitchen and saw the yellow parrot in an unusual view for it seemed to appear clearer. After a while, I sensed something was wrong and walked to the kitchen to my most astonishing moment of the year that the yellow parrot was clinging at the outside of the cage while the green parrot flew out from the bathroom.

I quickly checked the windows of the bathroom and toilets to make sure they were closed. The green bird flew into the living room and I proceeded to close the windows in the kitchen and by then, the green bird was at the door and soon, disappeared.

I did not know how the birds managed to escape from the cage and thus I simply closed the door between the kitchen and living room to keep the yellow bird inside the kitchen. I quickly went up and down two storeys to search for the stupid green parrot but it was not around. My mum returned home to get ready for her Johor trip and when I opened the kitchen’s door, I was amazed that the yellow parrot had gone back into the cage by herself. My mum could easily find the hole that was meant for the food container, which my brother did not secure properly after removing the container.

I crossed over to the opposite block and tried to look over for the parrot’s movement but I could not see anything. I returned and went to the top storey of my block, and walked down the stairs to every storey in my muscle aching legs but my effort was reward-less.

The green parrot could have flown into other people’s house and the greedy new owner would never expect that it would peck on human beings, including my elder brother. In another scenario, it would be attacked by other birds in my neighbourhood.

I finally had a game of Command and Conquer ever since before my elder brother’s Thailand trip, but I played it alone to release stress. Soon, my mum called and told me that she had changed her plan and would stay overnight at Johor.

My dinner and supper included a bowl instant noodle, followed by a cup of Vitagen, an ice-cream stick, the leftover breads that my mum forgot to eat and cereal.

Our Suntanning Trip

[Thursday, 30 November, 2006]

Vivi wanted a suntan at Sentosa and so we arranged to meet at 8am in the morning. I was quite down-lucked for the company’s meeting was on the same day.

I woke up at around 7am and gave numerous morning calls to her but she did not pick up. Then, I started to hesitate if I should even pack up for the trip. She called me around fifteen minutes later to claim that she was taking her bath and I proceeded on. However, just before I was leaving my house, I wanted to confirm the meeting place with her but she did not pick up my calls again. I got so frustrated after calling her around eight times and eventually went back to sleep. Finally she called me back and claimed that her phone was left inside the room.

Both of us were late eventually and I was later since she stayed nearer and had three direct buses to Harbourfront. I was unfortunately quite unlucky with the waiting of bus as well. She asked me where to meet and we agreed at the bus-stop but when I reached, she had crossed over to the food centre to get some drinks which added a little irritation to me.

But this day, somehow she was so sweet that I was swept over by her charm in no time. Or perhaps, I loved the quiet moments with her lying on my shoulder during the bus rides, the satisfactory feeling which resembled heaven. She behaved somehow more ladylike than usual and possessed these cheerful smiles which were missing for the past few months.

I realised the Islander Card’s prices had increased. She did not want to apply for the card and therefore I only paid for the three bucks entry fee. Just as I was sighing for the gone Blue Line bus after the blur staff had delayed us, the driver for a leaving Yellow Line bus questioned us. He thought we were new to the place and even advised us to take a map, and I kindly continued with the “game”. So, instead of Siloso beach, we went to Palawan beach.

The bird who welcomed us

The place was almost empty without the staffs. I walked her to the nearest washroom for her to get changed before we went to the bridge. It was the first time I ever stepped onto it and was glad that it was with a girl who had brightened my life. We started off with taking a picture of a bird and soon, realised there was no sun.

Splendid scenery!

The water and the shore

The trees in the drizzling rain

The sky began to grow dark fast but the colour tone of the surrounding was so beautiful including the water. After more capturing of the scenery, the down-pouring rain forced us to a shelter nearly. I saw a miracle as the dark clouds began to disperse and the rain eventually stopped within minutes. I was quite reluctant to leave the island as the sun had already smiled at us but she chose to leave.

Perhaps, she was right as all the delays had drawn the morning nearer to noon. We took the tram to the Beach Car Park and took Blue Line to the Visitor Departure Centre in which we transferred to the bus towards Harbourfront bus interchange.

It was not long before reaching my house and fast asleep comfortably in the hug of her. This afternoon, the alarm clock failed to get me up of the bed. She tried her best to pinch me but I rather bear the pain than to leave the paradise.

We went for lunch at the chicken rice shop where Wanting’s mum worked. It was only when we were about to leave, we saw Wanting there and thus could not talk to her. Both of us went to the same bus-stop where I caught my bus 197 immediately.
