Suntan with Wanling

I woke up unusually early on a Saturday morning again. The actual plan was to meet up with Wanling at 10.30 AM but she changed it to 11.15 AM, and she probably went back to sleep after that.

She was one of my long-lasting female friends who still kept in contact with me. Almost all my female friends drifted away from me slowly after they met new friends or sweethearts; and the remaining probably could not stand my frankness, my poor time management, and maybe other flaws.

She was late. We went to Subway to grab our breakfast and Giant to get a bottle of mineral water before heading towards Sentosa. We set up the mats outside Café Del Mar and started to enjoy the delicious sandwich. It was one of the most causal Saturdays that I ever had with my work being placed aside totally.

As I underestimated the power of the sun, I did not apply sunblock lotion on my legs and thus getting bad burns. Washing up at the washroom caused some fears for the water flow inside the cubicle seemed to be unstable and it would be the most embarrassing experience to walk out with shampoo on my hair.

We got back to Vivocity where Wanling got a little shopping for Christmas cards before we took the train and headed towards Chinatown. I bought shampoo and toothbrushes from the usual Swanston shop before I walked her to the Sago Lane.

The Cool House Viewing At TPY

[Monday, 12 February, 2007]

After so long, my sleepiness could finally drag me to bed. I was editing the MP3s using Winamp and I nodded so many times that I decided I should take this good opportunity to sleep early. It was only at around 1am.

Shoulder

I was not sure what time my mum reached home but she dragged me up and started peeling the dead skin off my body for the third consecutive day. That was an addictive game for her but if you were to think in another angle, it was quite crazy to wake me up just for that.

I had quite a good rest afterwards thought I woke up a few times and finally at 11am. Updating of my websites and coordinating of appointments kept me busy.

I left home at late afternoon and went straight to the office. Regina was not around and Sharon was at the receptionist counter instead. I found it quite weird to Sharon somehow; probably because she was quite stylish looking and I always had this mentality to avoid chatting with babes somehow.

Winnie saw me from far and greeted me so happily, which seemed like replacing new batteries to me. Her hair was nicely dyed and tied up. She was not pretty but cute, especially with her baby fats.

Louis was busy chatting with one of the big shots. I took the chance to use the computer and utilise the company’s resource by printing out some information. This time when he called me into his office, he was not as calm as usual. Friendliness filled the room. Somehow, he looked so familiar.

I set off for Toa Payoh immediately. I was so early and decided to get some buns from the Breadtalk. I grabbed a chocolate and a hot dog one and paid the cashier with my remaining two two-dollar notes, which was so pathetic. While I was crossing the bridge over to the park, I decided to enjoy my chocolate bun first. Somehow, I made a little mess there but was nice enough to clear it up.

After using the toilet, I set off from the Toa Payoh Central. I took out my note book and tried to spend the time usefully by writing down contents for my property website. I took another path to the flat but it did not seem as near as I expected. It was only 7pm and I started sitting down on the floor to continue with my work. Eventually, the second chapter of my new story caught my attention. The process was halted for so long with all the work piling up.

Both Kelly and Jimmy were late. Kaven reached first and followed by Kelly. Next were Jimmy and surprisingly, Cherylyn. Since Jimmy and I had met before at Tampiness, we seemed to be quite close with each other even though he did not pass me his name card the previous time. He was the easygoing type, whereas Cherylyn was quite gorgeous. This time, I could see both of them were trying hard to introduce the house to their clients. I was very happy this night with all the friends around.

Swim With Gilbert and Peh

[Tuesday, 06 February, 2007]

I switched my phone’s alarm clock to sound at 8am but I dragged on. My entire body was weak and hurting and that I was feeling as stiff as the previous day. As my mum cooked instant noodle for me later, I told Gilbert I would be late for the swim.

I moved slowly and even forgotten to bring my swimming goggle that I had to make a U-turn home. I informed Gilbert when I was at Braddel station and by the time I reached Ang Mo Kio, it was half an hour later than the agreed time. Gilbert arrived after me and we waited for another half an hour for Peh to reach.

Together we strolled to the pool with craps along the way. The sky did not seem to welcome us but alas it did not rain. At first I hesitated to get into the pool again for my body was already burnt so badly. The sun glowed to threaten me more but I joined them soon.

Peh kept us fit by swimming two laps at one go each time before taking a short break. Together, we swam and hopped for 20 laps, which was quite impressive for someone like me who had not been exercising and was already drained. After the eighteen laps, I ganged up with Gilbert to proceed with the last two laps without stopping and Peh was caught off guarded. However, on the last laps, I almost could not make it back.

After washing up, we went to the Ang Mo Kio Central’s S11 for lunch. While Peh and Gilbert were queuing up for the non-tasty chicken rice, the table cleaner was questioning about my sunburn. After that, we went to MacDonald’s for some ice-cream. The little girl sitting besides us was a potential babe ten years later.

It was a shagged journey home followed by some editing of my websites before dozing off for a few hours.

I’m a Robot

[Monday, 05 February, 2007]

After so many months, this was the first day I slept with my computer on. I was too shagged from the lack of sleep, sunburnt, dehydration and muscle ache that I did not hold it long before dozing off while taking a rest on the bed.

For the entire day, I felt so stiff all over like as if I was a robot. Standing up from the chair was tedious enough and not to mention, getting up from the bed. My muscle was exhausted and the burnt skin threatened to pierce me each time I was about to move.

I took another long nap despite waking up late. During evening, Kachua messaged me in MSN and asked if I wanted to have dinner with him. Since my mum had not bought my dinner home, I decided to accompany him. We went to the coffee shop near the bus-stop and other than getting so sick of eating from the same place each time, the food was really not very outstanding despite the competition next door.

I managed to catch the last episode of the 9pm channel 8 show surprisingly. Due to my work, I had missed so many episodes of the good shows, but I would not mind if the reward was good enough.

At night, it was when the worst pain appeared during bathing. Basically, I could not rub my back and had to let the cold water rinse on my body.

I got especially busy. Sorry to Huizhuang that I had not tried Xanga and thus not able to offer much help.

Surf and Sweat Beach Volleyball 2007

[Sunday, 04 February, 2007]

Finally I got down to the beach again ever since I went for my calf operation.

This time was for the Surf and Sweat beach volleyball competition at the Tanjong Beach. I did some coordinating and gathering of the team members after Anqi listed me out some names. The day before, I called and messaged Anqi but there was no response. It was during evening, she told me of the timing and I started to message everyone immediately. Hours later, I called each individual and realised Robin was not going down. It was very disheartening for he did not even bother to inform me earlier, not even to reply to my message.

On the early morning, I reached there early but sad to realise it was the same situation like before – everyone was late. We were supposed to meet at 7am and when I called Anqi, she claimed 7.15am instead but obviously she could not even make it at 7.30am. Wilson drove Weitat over and I hopped onto his sport car for the first time.

We were so early, considered we were actually right on time. Everyone probably knew how late the actual event would commence and thus took their sweet time. Anqi took a cab in and followed by her ex team-mate, Fiona. Later, Jiayan, Weichong, Kian Yong and Yingyi arrived.

The first game was alright and of course we won but the next two games were huge disappointments. My back could no longer take it just before the first match ended and I believed I had contributed a lot to our lost.

Weichong’s back set to opponent’s court. It was the second ball and back set should be allowed but the ignorant referees spoiled everything. They even claimed that different courts had different rules. This event was so unorganised as usually rules should be briefed before the matches start.

After the games, we stayed on to watch other matches and as well as to wait for the Surf Babe competition, which Yingyi was asked to participle in. the long wait continued and Wilson took his leave later. We got to play volleyball outside the courts at first and later, inside the court while the competition was at a pause.

The Surf Babe competition was terrible. Out of the other three competitors, none was pretty. However, Yingyi did not win the competition with her stylishness and attraction looks. The judges seriously had problems with their eyes and perhaps were either biased or jealous.

Guoxiong’s team got champion as expected but his prize was an ugly bag from the sponsor of the event. Overall, the ugly singlet and all the items inside the goodies bags were not really interesting.

We continued to play in the court after everything was over. Mingfa and Mingen came in to visit us. After all the jumping, my left ankle did not pose any problem but instead, my right ankle was unexpectedly giving some loose feeling.

Anyway, Guoxiong had asked me to join him in the beach volleyball training for he claimed it did not require too much of height. He even offered to partner me but obviously I was not the cut for it. With my terrible height and injuries, I would probably not produce any good result.

It was a fast cleaning up at the public showering area and changing of clothes inside the disgusting temporary toilet. Then, Mingen drove Mingen, Weitat and I out of the island. We went to Mingen’s work place, the power station at the end of the bridge for dinner. We met up with a few of his friends and
took the expensive food. The Nasi Brani was not nice.

After that, Weitat and I walked to Vivo City and walked around to find his stuff. I was behaving like a zombie. We met Junqing who was working at the G2000 shop.
