Finally, a Better Volleyball Game
For the first time in more than a year, I finally felt so energetic during a volleyball game. Daneuron had improved my nerve issue on my right leg and the occasional push-ups had reduced the pain on my shoulder’s joint. Sleeping for long hours with a couple of naps during the day had helped to rest my back problem.
I did not get many chances to spike properly but the games were nice. We fought hard and chased after the balls, sacrificing my knee.

First Accusation
I manage to see another ugly side of human beings. Being young is definitely not an excuse. Black sheep cause problems to the rest and in the end, frame others.
If you are sitting in the front and you claim you cannot hear your lecturer projecting his voice loud to the end of the classroom until he almost loses his voice, check your ears. If you do not do work during lesson and yet you try to backstab the lecturer somehow, it simply shows your character. It is very tiring to entertain students who are dragging the pace of the class down.
Some dogs love to test the system and simply take kindness for granted.
We Do Not Have a Choice
Sometimes, in life, we are forced to be the bad guys in some people’s definition. However, as long as we are having clear self conscience, and withhold our duties well, nothing should stop us.
Criminals do hate policemen when they are being caught.
In a school, what most teachers would expect are academic performance and willingness to learn, whereas attires and other physical issues are big issues. In cases where teachers are forced to take disciplinary actions on students who do not to abide some of the school rules, they have no choice but to offend some of the black sheep.
Maths Question
The duties are shared between four persons. The last person has to cover two days’ duties. He is made to do them on two consecutive days – Thursday and Friday. The duties start on Thursday and ends on the next Friday. Calculate the ratio of the number of duties he does to any of the other people’s. If somehow, two persons are required to do duties together for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and the last person has to do another day of duties on Tuesday with another person, calculate the ratio of the last person’s number of duties to the total number of duties required.
Is He the Boss?
I hate the feeling when arrows just come in like farting – probably everyday and without control.
Does your boss seek your consent or discuss with you before throwing any dart at you?
It is good to do things which we do not know, because we are able to learn through the process; however, if you are thrown with many unfamiliar stuffs at one go, you probably do not have the time to learn, and would probably do badly in everything.
By that time, will those bastards take into consideration that you are overloaded? They will simply jeer at you and think you suck.
I hate people who are over-confident. I never like to work with them even if they are actually kind hearted. It definitely shortens your lifespan.
Luckily, in this world, there are still many kind souls around.
Leg and Back Injuries
After so long, I finally managed to have a game of volleyball again. However, as usual, Saturday was very packed and I almost thought I could only step into the court once. We lost all the games by close margin. Jingkun was pissed off with one of the opponents who refused to admit that we had scored points for a couple of times. After all, this hatred for him was not simply built within a day.
My right leg’s condition had improved but it was not enough for me to jump properly as well. My backache stepped in and my left middle finger continued to hurt after two months.
Anyway, the improvement for my right leg could be due to the resuming of medication. I stopped taking the medicine since nearly two years ago because I was worried that too much of them would cause liver problems for me in future. I had been taking this tablet, which provided vitamin B12, daily after my first meal, hoping there would not be any side effect in future. If my condition continued to get better, it could be due to vein problem, and might be caused by my back problem.
One day, I might not be able to walk anymore.
The Huge Gathering of Ex Colleagues
Meet-up with my ex colleagues is the happiest event of the year so far. I can never chat with them one by one through MSN because I cannot afford the time, not to mention that each of them has their own commitments and other friends to attend to as well.
I like the respect they show to me, apart from the smiles, and how they can withstand my crappy conversations. Five of them either have or are going to leave the company within this month; another two are leaving on the first day of next month. I wonder how many more farewell parties I’m going to attend soon again.
I like freedom of speech, and people who do not mock at me for my ignorance. I enjoy the company of people who care for me so much.
Yu Dan’s Confucian theory (于丹论语心得)
Recently, I have been catching the lecture room show “百家讲坛” on Channel U called “于丹论语心得”, which means Yu Dan’s Confucian theory.
For two thousands years, Confucian theory has been the mainstream school of thought among people in East Asia, such as China, Japan, and South Korea. It teaches us the most basic of life.
Professor 于丹 (Yu Dan) is from Beijing Normal University. As mentioned from other websites, after her unique way of analyzing the ancient Chinese classic of The Analects before a TV audience, she shot to fame almost overnight. Sales of her book surpassed one and a half million within forty days of publication. Its readers ranged from teenagers to senior citizens, and people from all walks of lives, including housewives.
Confucius’ teaching is what I have been seeking for, however, not anyone will have the exact concepts of thinking as the great wise man who died thousands years ago. What I have been longing for is a short and simple explanation of the teaching, not to be exactly the same, but of certain similarities. Professor Yu Dan’s understanding and analysis of the Confucian theory seems to be the most ideal so far.
The seven chapters of the lecture room show are:

3. 处世之道 – Dealing with things
4. 君子之道 – Gentleman

Downgraded to Microsoft Office 2003
People usually upgrade their software, but I’m doing the opposite. I’m not trying to be funny or sentimental but being forced to do it.
The school is using office 2003 and thus I have to downgrade my computer’s office so that I can practise the work at home before going to class.
Microsoft office 2007’s interface is much better and I really like it a lot. However, I still prefer the tools’ grouping of 2003, except that I cannot use the “ctrl + shift + F” shortcut to change the font’s properties.
After installing office 2003, I realise I’m using Outlook since last year and the downgraded Outlook seems to be encountering problems. I shall think thrice before I act again.
