Met the Saviour – Kelly

[Tuesday, 19 September, 2006]

This day began with meeting up of Mingfa and his two beloved CTSS students, Jianhao and Junyang, at Toa Payoh. After that, we bid each other farewell before Mingfa and I went to meet up with Kelly who gave us free lessons under the umbrella outside Mosburger in the rain.

She was introduced to our company by Meijun’s dad as well; who thought our company was one of the best in the market. She was actually as experienced as Francis but their styles of working seemed totally different. This day when Mingfa and I were quite despair about the lack of guidance from the company, she offered to give us all the assistance she could for free.

She brought us to the HDB hub and later Mingfa left for coaching at Clementi ITE. I followed Kelly throughout the day. She first showed me to her clients when she was helping them to process a deal. I witnessed how they applied for electricity and insurance but I was too new to figure out everything.

After that, we went to a coffee shop where the agents usually went to and I witnessed how she made friends with them. We took train together to Paya Lebar MRT even though she was riding, leaving her bike at Toa Payoh. Then, we strolled from the MRT to the flat and I realised the distance was so near.

She taught me a lot. Later, when she started talking to the friendly neighbour, I was almost quiet throughout. When the two clients arrived, named Andrew and Jessica, she started introducing the house and I was so impressed by her knowledge.

Anyway, this young couple were very friendly and sincere people who were frank and direct. Andrew somehow gave me a feeling of someone familiar and thus I had this feeling that I must get him this flat if he was interested.

After the viewing, both Kelly and I left together to Paya Lebar MRT. She had to go back to Toa Payoh to grab her bike before going back to Seng Kang, which made me feel bad. She treated me so much like her younger brother and I was so glad of her help.

Looking For Artists

I need someone who can draw and is free to help me draw some simple things. I have sought help from a few friends but they seem to be busy.

However, since I am usually not able to describe what I really want, I might not accept your contributions in the end not because of your skill; pardon me if that happens.

Please stand forward and message me if you can afford the time and wish to take up the challenges.

House Viewing and Meeting up with Bunnie

[Monday, 18 December, 2006]

This morning, I woke up early and went to Haig Road alone. Mingfa was coaching and thus unable to go down with me.

I reached before 10am but Mdm Kok came at 10.30am with another lady and guy. I was quite shocked for I expected her to be younger. They were more focused about the upgrading of the flat for they did not want to waste their money renovation twice for the bathroom and toilet. They even insisted the pipes were very old ones. I tried to explain about the good points of the flat but they seemed to be unconcern about the surrounding.

After they had left, the friendly auntie next door came in to inspect the pipes and taught me that those were changed before. Then, she brought me into her house to show me her old pipes which she did not change. This auntie was so friendly that I really wished to chat with her more.

This time round, I tried taking bus at the old place where I would alight for volleyball at Chung Cheng High Secondary Main in the past, but realising I should just wait for bus 10 at Tanjong Katong Road instead of taking the long journey to wait for two buses.

Back at home, I finally managed to rest but in the midst of my sleep, calls came in and one of the agents called Cecilia arranged an appointment with me but I was supposed to open the door for her clients to view it.

So, in the afternoon, I went back again. This time round, Mingfa had tried to get there but he was later than the young couple. We went off after the rain had stopped. He accompanied me to Tanjong Katong Shopping Centre and left after using the washroom. Then, I met up with Bunnie aka Dog Dog who was happily playing game at the LANs shop.

We had our dinner at the basement. I had my fish and chips which was just normal taste. After that, I followed him to the LANs shop to watch him play World of Warcraft (WoW). I left for home after 8pm in the drizzling rain.

Then, I started the FotoQuestFishing game inside my k800i.

This night, I began to despair about the future for I would not be able to organise outings or even join other people’s outings easily other than during festivals. I need more time!

– Buy / Rent / Sell house
I am working as a property agent for now. No joke. I am still picking up the skill for just dealing with houses and in future, or if there is any chance, I will learn to do office, warehouse or even coffee shop deals. Please introduce me to your friends and relatives who wish to sell, buy or rent their houses. I will offer you some coffee money of course depending on the profit. I am currently working on a website; please help me to spread the url when the time comes (probably after I acquire a domain name for it).

First Viewing of Potential buyers

[Sunday, 17 December, 2006]

After all the calls, I finally got to get an appointment for viewing the flat. An Agent called Eza called me and this sweet lady first asked us to meet up at 3pm. Later on, she called back to change the timing to 6pm.

Since Francis had taught us not to be stooped by anyone, we had to double confirm the meeting time. I sent a message to remind her about it and also warned her of the weather to bring an umbrella out of my sincerity.

Dustbin at Tanjong Katong Road bus-stop

Mingfa and I got there before the meeting time and later, she called me to push the appointment backward by an hour due to traffic jam. Though Mingfa suspected it could be because she was meeting another client because Singapore was so small that it would not take an hour for someone who drives.

We went to the nearby coffee shop and had a drink. I was quite down-lucked for the glass was not that clean. The owners were polite but I really minded the hygienic of the utensils and even drink cans’ surfaces.

We went back to the flat to wait for the agent and her buyers, and it started to pour heavily. They were a bit late and Eza called me when she arrived. When I got down, I saw a small crowd and there was a man in coat with badges on it. I realised that was Eza’s husband and both of them were working together as a team.

Eza’s husband started to teach us things, which we were quite appreciated. He kept asking us to go over to join him, which was almost impossible for the time being. However, we got to realise that we should be at least guided and not doing everything all by ourselves on the first assignment.

After the viewing, both of us went to Tanjong Katong Road and had the Punggol Nasi Lemak for dinner before going home.

Dinner and Shop at Ikea

[Saturday, 16 December, 2206]

My younger brother started packing the room where two large shelves and his wardrobe were located at. He took quite long to do it and even stopped to play games. I saw his matureness once again for he was able to part with the old stuffs which my mum would definitely want to keep if she was around.

Anyway, his plan was to move the double-decker bed from the first room and buy a sofa bed to put under the frame to replace the queen size bed.

My elder brother had impulsively thrown a useful single bed with a pull-out bed below, so that the space could be replaced by the tall frame. In the end, the frame bought from Ikea was actually too high for my house’s low ceiling and nobody went up to sleep.

Anyway, my younger brother, my mum and I went for dinner at a hawker centre near Queensway Shopping Centre. My brother and I did a spilt up to buy food. He bought a plate of delicious fried rice and sugarcane drinks. I bought three “siew mai”, a plate of chicken rice and ten sticks of satays. We spent less than twenty bucks altogether including a bowl of sea coconut with jelly dessert. It was such a shame that I could not just pay for everything.

There was free show for the night while we were enjoying our dinner but the quarrels did not lead to any fight. There were a few babes near us actually but they left quite early.

We went to Ikea finally at around 9pm and luckily the closing time was 11pm. We were welcomed by free door gifts – soft toy of a red heart whose hands can be stick together. There were nice furniture there but they were too expensive for our current situation.

It was after 10pm when I started to get tired for I was waked up early. It was supposed to be a window shopping trip but my brother bought some snacks at the Sweden shop.
