My whole family is going to Batam for holidays tomorrow and returning on Monday. It was going to be a quiet and lonely weekend for me. The house would definitely be much cleaner since I would usually do at least a little tidying up.
I don’t know why they persist to go at such time where H1N1 is mesmerising the entire world and that my younger brother had spent a fortune at Europe. All their pockets were already squeezed dry.
We have different thinking and I’m more of a silly loner.

This is the first time ever in my life that everything I do seems to be wrong. Perhaps, different people have different views, and only people who understand and trust would think otherwise.

Wednesday evening, Hirman waved over to me when I was leaving the office. He was going to the airport and would pass by my place.
The comfortable trip back was so much better than squeezing in the train with so many uncivilised people; moreover, I had a companion to chitchat with me.
I could not help but to indulge in being sent home.

The badminton session on Tuesday was great. It was the second time I played for this year and I was glad that I was still able to run. Mei Hoe, Weitat, Jingkun, Alvin and Mr Baey were my companions for the afternoon.
We did not resume until late evening since we decided to go out for dinner before the volleyball game. It was after 6pm and we set off for “Hong Kong Street” near Alexandra road. We shared a few dishes of Chinese food.
We managed to send Mei Hoe home before going back. My legs were stiff after the earlier run and partly, due to the cold weather. At least, my physical condition was much better than the previous week.
I still could not get a hand of spiking, but receiving balls was of a satisfactory standard. We did not stop until after eleven when everyone was exhausted.
I was lucky that Weitat had taken his dad’s car and thus he could send me home after eleven.

Trust no one because even your best friends have their best friends and your secret can never be a secret anymore since everyone has their own best friends to share secrets with.

Last Saturday after the beach volleyball game, dinner was at Seah Lm food centre. It was a memorable night because I finally made it to the prata shop after 3am.
It was a long awaited night.
Of course, it was unhealthy to take supper, especially just before going to bed.

My younger brother finally returned from Europe last Friday. His girlfriend drove over to pick us up before going to Changi Airport Terminal 1 to receive him.
It was certainly a great exposure for him, which I would never have the chance to experience.
Alas, my mum needed not to worry for him anymore and that I could have a higher chance to have someone to accompany me to play LAN game before the commencing of my hell days two weeks after.
We had lunch at Vivocity’s Food Republic and I forgot that I should not take the expensive chicken chop since the standard had dropped.

Following the past two weeks of slow internet experience, the Starhub cable modem demonstrated the “excellent” service from Starhub Max-online. The “POWER” LED was lighted but “DS” was blinking. The following LEDs were all dead except for the “LINK”.
It was 2.30am in the morning, I was typing an important email, and doing other stuffs as well, that required internet access of course.
I started calling 1633 for Starhub’s assistance soon using my mobile phone because the home phone was connected to the modem and was completely dead. It took me around a minute before I could start to wait for the operator to get on the line. Nobody picked up the phone like the previous time I called them and I got so irritated when I heard from the recorded voice “Alternatively, you may drop us an email via customerservice@starhub.com.sg” – If I could email them, I would not even have called. After a while, my phone died on me due to the extremely poor reception from the Starhub mobile service.
I tried my luck for the second time at 2.51am and they managed to hold me up for more than ten minutes before an operator finally picked up the phone. As the reception over my side was terrible, I could not really catch his name – he said something like “Daniel”. Anyway, he went to check for a minute and returned to tell me that it was due to maintenance between 2am to 6am. He assured me that the connection would be up after 6am.
I questioned him, “So, you mean Starhub doesn’t inform us before the maintenance?”
His reply was, “By right we should…”
I knew it was not his fault and thus I did not make it difficult for him. It was 3.14am and I put down the call.
It was less than two minutes after I rested my ears, I noticed that the connection was up. It could never be such a coincident and I strongly suspected the downtime was not due to maintenance.

Josephine kept our afternoon so high that I jumped a few times last Thursday. It was the last day before the long weekend and hence, the few of us were in a relax mood. It was wonderful to know how to read a person’s character from handwriting and signature.
Willi and Vincent came in to join in the fun.
I had a rush late afternoon with some designing work and dragged their dinnertime. Finally, we went to the new shopping centre at Clementi to fill our stomachs with sushi. Mei Hoe insisted in treating us.
