Dining out with Lucky

[Friday, 17 September, 2010]

I spent the morning updating website, blogging and replying email. I finally went to bed at around 6am, joining my elder brother as Lucky was sleeping over in that room. My mum tried to get Lucky to pee and her ranting woke me up during the daylight, and thus disrupting my sleep worse than how Lucky had been doing. Eventually, I woke up at 2 in the afternoon.

I was not sure what time Gilbert sent me an SMS for I was too lazy to check from the antique phone. He was asking me out for a swim since he was on leave. I spent the entire day working on my new website to see more progress in the contents. I had not even planned for the database and coding would definitely take longer time.

We almost missed Lucky’s dinner as we were too engrossed in the Taiwanese show “Love”. The dinner was delayed for half an hour. Since my mum went out with her friends again, the three of us went out for dinner on our own together with Lucky. We went to Maxwell Food Centre and took the outside table. We took the two dollars noodle. After that, we took a stroll at Sago Lane and went up to the aquarium before taking Duxton Road back home.

I spent the rest of the time working on the website.

Ziying’s Advanced Birthday Dinner

[Thursday, 16 September, 2010]
I went to sleep at 2.30am after my mum scolded Lucky for peeing on the floor outside the room when I was inside the toilet. It was not long before he woke up and started peeing on the newspaper I placed in front of my wardrobe. I thought it was okay to leave it there but he woke up again and started scratching the newspaper. I was not sure how long he took to doze off but I had a hard time doing that.
I woke up after 12pm and went back to sleep and finally got up at 3pm. I spent quite some time clearing up spams in Facebook and also trying to save the Facebook pages from the team’s nonsense.
My younger brother returned home earlier to take care of Lucky’s dinner since my elder brother and I had to leave the house for appointments.
I was shocked after alighting from the crowded train from the green line at Jurong East for the platforms were packed. The next train towards north was, however, far from the station. It took about six minutes for me to suffer in sweat before I resigned to fate that Singapore was overpopulated and the SMRT was totally not efficient enough. I waited for the next train and I started to figure out people who usually stood right in front of the doors were not totally at fault because many passengers could not board the train.
I was late for ten minutes. Jason and Cher Fong were sitting at the entrance of Mayim and Benson arrived soon. Later, I realised the actual table booking time was postponed for half an hour. I was told that the dinner would not be expensive but it did not seem so. Jason had bought a compact yet solid camera while Benson brought his DSLR along, and thus I did not take out my pathetic camera. It was a great dinner with all the friends around. The final bill was thirty-eight bucks each.
Benson, Jason and I waited for Lynn to settle some stuffs with her friend outside KFC before we went to the train station. Jason and Lynn took the same train as me.

First Jog with Lucky

[Wednesday, 15 September, 2010]

I went to bed at 2.30am and woke up at 2pm eventually since Lucky kept me occupied like the previous nights before I could doze off.

I finally went to the gym after hesitating whether to bring Lucky along. After missing it for around two weeks, I was lucky to meet Andrew, Junze and Le Tian. I did my workout with my hurting left shoulder. After that, I stayed behind to chat with the three guys, and Bobby was too busy that he could only hop by a few times to join in.

I reached home near 8pm, which was almost an hour late from my targeted time. At around 10pm, my brothers and I went down for a jog with Lucky and we were surprised that his stamina was far less than we had expected. We had fun playing catching and hide-and-seek with him at the third storey from car park to playground.

No Gym Because Lucky was Alone

[Tuesday, 14 September, 2010]

Right after blogging, I went to bed at 4am. Lucky woke me up numerous times. I got up at 11am eventually.

I spent the day working on the website and also entertaining Lucky. Cleaning his poo and pee was tiring. I was sleepy throughout the day and since my brothers were not around, I dropped my idea of going to the gym. I spent quite some time chatting with Hazel through commenting on my Facebook photos.

I fed Lucky with the food myself.

Towards midnight, as all of us were engaged in the Taiwanese show, my elder brother brought Lucky down for a stroll himself. I removed my bags and put Lucky’s pillow under the table since he loved the spot.

Day 3 – Exhausting Sleep besides Lucky

[Monday, 13 September, 2010]

I went to bed after 2am after chatting with Wanling when she started to reply slower in MSN. Since Lucky was sleeping on my bags under the table earlier on and even hid under one of them, I tried covering him entirely with his blanket, and it worked. However, he woke up many times like the previous night and I had to put his blanket on for him in case he caught a cold inside the air-conditioned room.

I woke up finally after 10am and tried to work on my website throughout the day with distraction from Lucky. My elder brother took him into the room and took my place. They had a long afternoon nap together to leave me undisturbed but I was too exhausted with the heavily disrupted sleep for the past two nights to do anything.

In the evening, I tricked Lucky into the bedroom so that my elder brother could leave the house for his soccer game. It worked well and Lucky did not cry since he did not witness my brother left the house. I had problems trying to get him to finish his dinner.

When my elder brother returned, we went down with my mum to walk Lucky while waiting for my younger brother to return. By the time we reached home, I was near 11.30pm.

Day Two – Lucky Lucky

[Sunday, 12 September, 2010]

The day began with the entire family at the neighbourhood, walking the dog. It was the second day Lucky was with us and he finally urinated once. My elder brother cooked noodle to share with me before I went to sleep at 3 plus.

Lucky was crying and scratching the doors in the living room and I brought him into the room to sleep with us, putting his pillow on the floor. Though we did not offer him the best dog food, he had the best companion on earth. I even patted him to sleep.

He woke up many times and walked towards the door before turning back to sleep on his pillow, and I continued to pat him until he dozed off again. I could not remember I woke up finally at what time after being disrupted from my sleep uncountable times.

My brothers and my elder brother’s girlfriend went downstairs to walk Lucky again in the afternoon. We were glad that he finally pooed.

In the evening, we fed him nearly half an hour earlier before we left the house. The entire family went to Harbourfront for dinner. The Seah Lm food centre failed me again. My younger brother bought a big bowl of seafood soup at twice the price of a bowl for singles but the portion was miserably little without the soup. What turned me off more was that the fish tasted hard and weird.

We went to Vivocity’s Daiso to shop for Lucky’s stuffs, such as bowl and toy. After that, we proceed to Pets Safari to try to find more stuff for Lucky. My younger brother was very turned off by the staffs again for he was at the shampoo section for very long, searching high and low, looking lost, but the staff did not bother. When foreigners went in, that staff attended to them immediately without any delay even though they did not ask for assistance. Service at the pet shop was really pathetic.

Eventually, my mum and my elder brother’s girlfriend bought food for Lucky. Lucky would be super glad if he knew that the two ladies who were so afraid of dogs would treat him well. We went to the Giant after that and got him more can food.

After reaching home, Lucky was so excited that he peed on the floor. We went downstairs to take him for a walk for the third time of the day.

The Day Lucky Joined My Family

[Saturday, 11 September, 2010]

I went to bed at 3am but it took me some time to doze off like usual because of my mum’s musical performance. I woke up after 10am and went to Yishun to get my new dog – Lucky. He was crying all the way during the journey. However, he soon got into mood with my brothers and I and he almost glued himself to my elder brother. We took naps in the afternoon and he started weeping in the living room. Lucky behaved like a baby.

In the evening, my younger brother went to his friend’s house at the Pinnacle. My mum and I joined him soon at the Sky Park on the fifth storey. It was nothing fantastic except for it was high enough to view the entire city. There were two layers of fence to block the view. We went to the owner’s house at the forty-fifth storey and were amazed with the interior design.

My younger brother stayed behind for dinner. I went down with my elder brother to walk the dog and we were amazed that he did not bother about the cats and rats. Another surprising thing was that he did not urine or shit at all.

Slow Web Development

[Friday, 10 September, 2010]

I moved my laptop over to sleep with my elder brother. I was dozing off on the bed while working on my website until he started watching a movie about bear. It was rather stupid. The sickening smoker lighted the cigarette at 3am to disgust both of us. I thought I could doze off easily without air-conditioner but I was not lucky enough. Perhaps, it was due to the thirst and my stomach having a mild strike again.

My younger brother woke me up after 10am. We spent the afternoon at Yishun.

In the late afternoon, I was planning to go down to the gym but I saw Fenfen online and I quickly asked her about her recent comment status in Facebook. We started chatting until near 7pm. By the time I went to the gym, it was closed. Even though I heard loud music inside, I went home after calling Tze Khit to confirm that John was inside.

My dinner was fried rice delivery. I was working hard on the contents of the new website and I could see that it was going to kill lots of my time working alone.

Dinner at Amara Hotel Food Court

[Thursday, 9 September, 2010]

I worked through my new website and went to bed at 8am. I woke up at 3pm to continue with my work.

In the evening, I was planning to go down to the gym after missing it for a week but my younger brother called and we decided to go over to Amara Hotel for dinner together with mum. I went down to find my mum before we crossed over the road together. I saw my younger brother going up the escalator sneakily and we thought he was trying to play hide-and-seek with us. My mum dragged me to the lifts. In the end, my younger brother explained that he was trying to look around and not trying anything funny.

He bought a set meal from the Hong Kong food stall and my mum got her Thai food, which was pathetically little in quality. I had a Korean chicken set and it was rather costly. After the dinner, we shared a bowl of sea cucumber dessert. We finished the 7pm Taiwanese show “Love” before leaving the food court.

At night, I went jogging with my younger brother at the third storey and completed seven rounds in an area smaller than my usual route. I was surprised that I was still able to do eighteen chin-ups when my entire body was weak.

Gone with the Good Deal

[Wednesday, 8 September, 2010]

It was a simple day blogging in the morning and sleeping at 6am. I woke up after 2pm.

The entire day was mainly spent working on my new website in a good progress.

Before the night ended, I received a SMS from Wee Lian that the job offer had to be put on hold as the other departments would interfere if they were to engage a designer without teaching load. I was quite amazed over this.
